From Food Truck to Food Haven: The Dosa Dosa Story Unfolds!
It all started on the streets of Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, South India where Karthik is from. His journey led him to the University of Limerick where he realised in the heart of Ireland’s bustling street food scene, there was something missing. Inspired by the vibrant flavors of South India, he embarked on a mission to bring a taste of home to the streets of Ireland.
But when COVID-19 threw us a curveball, we didn’t back down – we adapted. Enter the Volkswagen Crafter van, transformed into a mobile Dosa kitchen, a beacon of flavor in uncertain times. As the first authentic South Indian food truck in Ireland, we served up smiles and satisfaction, one dosa at a time.
As the world slowly emerged from the shadows of the pandemic, we saw an opportunity to take our vision to new heights. Say hello to The Place Street Food Yard, a haven for foodies, hosted by none other than Dosa Dosa.
Nestled in an old car parking space, The Place is more than just a food destination – it’s a celebration of global flavors. From sizzling South Indian dosas to tantalizing treats from around the globe, every corner of The Yard tells a story, a testament to the rich tapestry of street food culture.
Join us as we redefine the dining experience, one bite at a time. Come hungry, leave inspired – that’s the Dosa Dosa promise.
